This Privacy Policy describes how Handling Supply LLC ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you visit this site, request a quote, or place an order. By using the site you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

Information you provide. When you place an order, request a quote, create an account, join a mailing list, or contact us, we collect the details you give us — typically your name, email address, phone number, company name, billing and delivery addresses, and the contents of your enquiry. Industrial freight cannot be priced without a destination, so a delivery address or ZIP code is usually required to quote.

Payment information. Card payments are processed by a PCI-compliant third-party payment processor. Your full card number is transmitted directly to that processor and is not stored on our systems. We receive only what we need to identify and service the order, such as the card type, the last four digits, and the authorisation result.

Information collected automatically. When you browse the site we receive standard technical information: IP address (from which approximate location is derived), device type, browser, operating system, referring page, the pages and products you view, and the dates and times of those visits. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.

Your cart. Cart contents are stored in your own browser and are not held on our servers unless you complete an order. Clearing your browser data clears them.

How we use your information

To process and fulfil orders, arrange freight and delivery, take payment, issue invoices and documentation, and provide warranty and after-sales support; to respond to quotes and enquiries; to prevent fraud and secure the site; to comply with tax, customs, export-control, and other legal obligations; to understand how the site is used so we can improve it; and, where you have asked us to, to send you product and offer information.

Sharing your information

We share personal information only with the parties needed to run the business: our website host and infrastructure providers; our payment processor; freight carriers and delivery partners; the manufacturers and distributors who fulfil or warrant your order; analytics providers; and our professional advisers. We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our terms, or in connection with a sale or reorganisation of the business.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies to keep the site working (for example remembering your cart) and to measure traffic. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages and products people look at; it sets its own cookies and processes the technical information described above. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or block or delete cookies in your browser settings — parts of the site may not work correctly if you do.

Marketing

We send marketing email only to people who have asked for it or who have bought from us. Every marketing message includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by using it or by emailing us. Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional messages about an order you have placed.

Data retention

We keep order records for as long as needed to fulfil the order and to meet our tax, accounting, warranty, and legal obligations. Quote and enquiry records are kept while we are in contact with you and for a reasonable period afterwards for our business records. Analytics data follows the retention settings of the analytics provider.

Your rights

Depending on where you live — including California under the CCPA/CPRA and the EU/UK under the GDPR — you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a portable copy, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell it). To exercise any of these, email privacy@handlingsupply.com. We will verify your request and respond within the time the law allows, and we will not treat you differently for asking.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections and a PCI-compliant payment processor. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International transfers

We are based in the United States and your information is processed there. If you are located outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection law may differ from that of your country.

Children

This is a business-to-business industrial equipment site. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to our practices or for legal reasons. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be brought to your attention.
