How do you use a pallet jack?

Short answer: To use a manual pallet jack: fully lower the forks, roll them squarely into the pallet's fork openings, pump the handle to raise the load just enough to clear the floor, then pull (don't push) to steer. Lower slowly with the release lever. Manual jacks have no brakes, never use them on ramps.

Step by step

1) Lower the forks fully. 2) Roll them into the pallet openings until seated. 3) Pump the handle to lift the load just off the floor. 4) Pull the jack to move it, steering from the handle. 5) Use the release lever to lower gently.

Safety

Manual pallet jacks have no brakes and get dangerous on any incline, keep them on level floors. Keep feet clear and don't exceed the rated capacity.
